SUGGESTED DIRECTIONS FOR BEECH WOOD CURLS:
After your brew has quit fermenting, siphon off of sediment into clean container. Add 2 oz. Beech Wood Curls to each 5 gallons of brew. (Rinse Beech Wood with hot or boiling water before using). Put Brew in closed container, with air lock and let age 10 days. Then bottle. Put 1/2 level measuring teaspoon sugar in each pint bottle before filling with brew. Fill bottles leaving an air space of 1" to 1-1/4" in the top of each bottle. Take a look at one of your bottles and if it is extrernelv clear, add 2 or 3 grains of Lager Yeast to each bottle. This will help it carbonate faster. By aging the beer this way, there won't be very much sediment in your bottles. |
